E350 drag times..

E350 drag times..

Went to the drag strip on friday with another member on mbworld.org who has a C350. It was our first time at the drag strip so our times are no the best. The main problem we ran into was the traction off the line and ESP, neither of us could remember how to put the car into dyno mode which would help out a ton. Even with ESP "off" (aka pushing the button and having the triangle light up) as soon as you got a little to much wheel spin you ESP would kick in and hold us back.

My best run of the night was a 15.031@ 93.33mph I had a 60 foot time of 2.260. My worst run of the night was a 15.207 @ 92.91 with a 2.350 60 foot time.

As for both of our cars we had tons of gas, I was between 1/2 and 3/4 a tank, and I think the E350 was the same. Overall the C350 would trap about 1-2 mph faster in the 1/4 mile but we we were able to line up and race each other twice he beat me once then I beat him and the margin was .1342 him beating me and .0191 me betting him.

I have a 2 of the C350's times from when I ran him.

C350--- 15.169@94.21mph with a 60 foot of 2.439, and 15.072@94.26 60 foot of 2.398.

So overall I had the faster 60 foot time but what I have been told is with the MPH traps we are running we suck at our launches. I got lined up with a supped up honda with just 1 racing seat and no interior. Off the line he pulled a car length then I started to pull him in after a tad past 1/8 of a mile mark, but he ran a 14.847@92.67 mph and I ran a 15.203@ 93.00.. Anyways the rating for the E350 is 1/4 mile at 14.8 @96mph. I figure with 1/4 a tank of gas and dyno mode on I could crack into the high 14's easily.
