JamesMR Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Battery charge I have question on battery charge as the car has not been in use for some time: in my car (W211, E350T, 2006) there are two batteries, 1). if they both need to be charged time to time when the car has not been drive for months? 2). if I can charge the system battery (in the trunk) without disconnet the battery? or the battery must be disconnected and taken out? 3). Can I charge the batteries by connecting my charge to the jump start connectors (in the hood)? | ||

I'm worried about flat spots on the tires too!
Incidentally, the jump start procedure involves the main battery in the trunk. I used it once to help start a friend's SAAB which had died. Meanwhile, I would definitely NOT try charging the battery at all without consulting my service advisor at the dealership. Would you let us know what he says? Otherwise I may ask mine, as I've been thinking about hooking up a trickle charger to my E350.
