The specified points are the 4 rubber "domes", just aft of the front wheels, and just forward of the rear wheels. Do you see the 4 access panels on the sides of the "rockers"?? If you pop those panels off, THAT is the place you would use the jack which is in the trunk (the "male" tube of the jack inserts into the "female" tube in the side of car). Well, anyway, the "Domes" are just underneath.

Darkmann Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Where do I put floor Jacks?? Thanks G-AMG. The pics tell the whole story. You're probably aware of my bouts at BenzWorld regarding the same question. It just seems like everyone has been using a diffent lift point!!! Anyway, thanks.

DO NOT relie on the jack alone! Actually, I mispoke. What I meant was where to put jack stands (axle stands) and not floor jacks. You're absolutely right. I just assumed most knew what I was talking about. Thanks for the reminder.

In my view, the only way for a DIY guy without a lift is to jack up vehicle using the OE jack in the jacking point and then place jackstand under the rubber bumpers designed for the 4-arm lifts. I've never tried, for example, jacking up both sides of front or both sides of rear and haven't needed to. Whenever I use my floor jack to raise car, there's no place left for jackstand. I'd like to find a "pad" for floor jack with an extension that fits into the OE jack lift hole Edited by lkchris 4/30/2007 2:03 PM

Darkmann Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Where do I put floor Jacks?? That's why I correcetd my post from jack stands to floor jack. Like you said, jack up normally using factory jack and then use jackstands on the pads in the sketches supplied by G-AMG. Edited by Darkmann 5/1/2007 7:10 PM
