Hello

Having just bought a 2002? ML 430, I can't get enough of it.
Driving this car is sheer bliss, the road I live on has ripped holes in the fuel tank of my Kia saloon, twice.
The ML sails over this treacherous terrain like a goat? ghost?
There are a few squeaks and rattles on the very bad sections, but on the hiway, you can hear a digital watch tick inside the car, it's so quiet.
Is the V8 suposed to be so quiet?
here's a picture.
Cheers.

Re: Hello

Welcome, nice ML!!

Where are you located? Wasn't aware of any 2002 ML430's. Are you sure it's not a 2001?

The ML is a superbly quiet vehicle for being a half off-roader.

RE: Hello

No 2002 ML430's were built. The last year was 2001 and if you'll note the older mirrors of the pre-2002 model.

Re: Hello

Thank you, All the cars documents point to 2001, but the vin number ,when decoded, says 2002, I was a bit worried about that.
Seems the online vin decoders are not ha reliable.
Thanks

Re: Hello

Hello AsianML, I'm in Nelspruit South Africa.
Perfect for off roading.
Someone told me not to get too serious about the ML off-road," when the body twists, the back windows pop out"
Can I believe this?
Cheers
Phil

Re: Hello

Thanks BenzDieselTuner.
My Dad had a W123 240D (1982 ?)for many years, it was stolen in 1998.
About month later it was recovered on the side of the road. The dash had been damaged to get the radio out,but after a service, radiator repair and minor detailing, he continued to use it daily.Since he died about two years ago it has become a family hierloom. still going strong.
