The Jeep and Dodge brands have been trying hard for the last few years to land governmental(military) transportation contracts, but those negotiations weren't successful because our fair Chrysler wasn't an American corporation. Now that they're majority domestic again, these talks might be more apt to produce sales. Jeep customers(real Jeep customers, now-- not the Compass/Liberty set) are very domesticentric buyers. They don't cross-shop their Jeeps with Japanese SUVs. They pay retail pricing, and don't shop based on reliability or fuel-mileage numbers. They come to buy a new Jeep, and that's it. No brand has stayed so true to it's roots. | ||
