Re: 1983 300DT

I discovered that the car was not original turbo .

chassi : WDB 123 130 103 046 21 that for EPc means a non turbo 617 ( it did not show the data chart , but show the engine). The pic is, so the turbo was integrated in the truck...after...

What do you say under your expertise.

Thanks

Re: 1983 300DT

i am a bit confused here....u say the motor is in a truck?...that picture is definately a 123 chassis vehicle, u can see the air grilles and the front cross-piece by the headlamps...........

so that motor is in a G you are looking at now?

i'll ask the G guys to look up that number for you.........

Re: 1983 300DT

The engine is not in a G its is in a E300D.

But this car originaly didnt have a turbo engine , it use to have a 617.912

That what EPC said when i introduce the chassis number.

ah i see, so what do you plan on doing with the motor, are you putting it your G?

RE: 300 E 1983

My brother in law is negotiating a G 350 DT. The 350 is a very problematic engine , and when we made an inspection the passenger floor was humid and the engine almost overheat. So one hipotesis was to transplant the 617A to the G. But now i saw its is not an 617a and in this case it has only 88hp.May be in this case i will stay with the E , look at the pic.

RE: 300 E 1983

the first picture is a stock-normal 617.952

the second picture is the same 617.952, except this one has a cone shaped airfilter setup (with no velocity stack) , and it has a custom oil-breather setup, that captures all the oil vapor in a tank, and doesnt send it into your intake manifold anymore......
