| Broke my MB star
Today cleaning my sweet i made the mistake to try to adjust star position.....It brokes!!!
I went imediatelly to EPC and......for W123 the part 124 880 00 86 is no longer available. For W124 and W126 the same 124 880 00 86 is available....Can parts with the same part number be diferent or EPC is crazy?

now i dont know, but there MUST be some part number out there for you........i do know that MB AG claims to be able to provide any part that you need for any model made...........i havent needed a new star for my Coupe, but there MUST be one available..........
go to BoneheadDoctor's home forum, and ask them there, i'm sure Henry can get you one.......

Thanks my friend , i found one from an stoped 300 e 84 , and bought it. Anyway the part nunber is the same in many parts sellers for 123/124/126 mb star .
Any way this one i bought is almost the same ( 1 more year!)

Not that expensive new, I've gotten one from here autohausaz.com Still in box, bought as a precaution. Installed one in my now dead '82 300. |

weird for the w123 to have a 124 part number... unless it was replaced with the incorrect part..
my stare I bought from worldpac had a 123 part number.. where as the grill badge had a 126 number and doesnt really sit right
a brand new one is like 25$.. I have a spare one still in the box on my shelf in my room.. nothing like a brand new hood star
