My 02 E320 is so nice to drive, but I'm really disappointed with all of the little gremlins that live in it. I'm going to take it in to the dreaded dealer for these problems: 1. Passenger Window switch 2. Engine vibrates under load (probably needs new engine mounts AGAIN) 3. Clock LCD is gone 4. Outside ambient temp seems inacurate 5. Something is rattling in the headliner, before it was just when the sunroof was open, now all the time. 6. I think the tie rod ends are done for 7. I think the flex disk is done for too. 8. Mercedes CD changer skips at the slightest bump 9. "Battery/Alternator, time to visit workshop" message 10. Windshield wiper "intermittent" sensor doesn't seem to "sense" light rain 11. I think the alignment is out of whack again. 12. In-dash radio volume knob works when it wants to. I think most if not all of this may be covered under the extended warranty, but good grief, I'd expect these kind of problems from a Chevrolet Lumina, not a Mercedes. My wife (The Warden) is really annoyed with the car...she's got my Honda Company Car (Civic Hybrid). It doesn't help that the dealer always seems to "find" something wrong with it that "needs attention" like when we had a C230 and it "needed" a new battery even though I had just replaced it a month earlier (he retracted after I told him so). I love the car, I just wish it wouldn't leave this bad taste in my mouth...

Well, that "Assistant Service Manager" (writer) is gone, I think too many people complained about him trying to pad the invoice. We do have a huge choice of MB dealers in the Los Angeles area but I'm discovering that most are owned by the same company(ies) Power/Auto Nation (I don't trust them) I got the car from Auto Stiegler in Encino after old man Stiegler passed away, his sons sold the dealership to Calabasas MB who renamed it Mercedes of Encino. Mercedes of South Bay is only 3-4 miles away... By the way, the car just DIED on me on the way home. I walked about a mile and half to get home...My dad says it's probably the battery and it isn't holding a charge. (Same symptom happened to his 190E 2.6) Who knows, I wonder if I should call roadside for a new battery and see if that fixes the problem or if I should have it towed to the dealer. The car has about 70K miles on it. Three years/or up to 100K left on the warranty. (I average about 5000 miles a year)
