have driven a 4matic and can only say that they are more like VW syncro 4x4 models not like imprezas. meaning that you don't really benefit from 4wd all the time (well, you do, but it doens't feel like it). you'll really feel the 4wd when you are using it in VERY slippery conditions, it'll feel more sure footed in snow for example.
i'm guessing that fuel economy will be down for the 4matic as it has more drivetrain to move but i can't comment on as to how much it'll be affected. |
