Brent Expert Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: SW Colorado USA Vehicle(s): '13 Wolfsburg GTI Posts: 1754 | A little OT, G base in SW Colorado My wife and I have finally managed to aquire a small motel in Ouray Colorado. For this summer it will likely curtail some of my G trail time but the opportunity looks very promising for us. Within the next week we will be closing on the Matterhorn Motel: http://www.ouraymatterhorn.com/ Since this is our first go 'round in the hospitality industry, this summer will be mostly a learning experience. We would love to see G owners that visit the area stop in and HI! Next summer I intend to sponsor an off road weekend here with the motel as the home base for activities. We were up on the trails the other day. Still some snow up there but everything should be open in the next two weeks. So, if you are passing through or planning a vacation here, look me up. I always have time to spend talking trails, or talking trucks.

My Dad's family lived in Ouray when he was young. Best of luck with the new business. We always look for interesting places to stay like that when we are traveling. -Dai

Just get a snow blower for the Mog and stay open year round! Well.....there aren't any of those long hallways but...... I think I can do better with snow removal in general in the winter, and yes I use the Mog(with a plow) for that. I also wouldn't want work to interfere too much with my snowmobiling Amzimmy, I am pretty sure it is right on your route. If you still plan to head south on 550 towards Durango CO, you have to drive right through town. When is the trip?
