GLK Drive

I had an opportunity to drive the GLK on Saturday. I like it and only wish they had made it with a Diesel engine too! Maybe later.

RE: GLK Drive

Isn't it basically a box sitting on a C-Class chassis?

Re: GLK Drive

Yes it is. After driving a couple of ML's and a UNIMOG, it was certainly different! I won't be buying one. I will keep my G 500 until the money runs out.

Re: GLK Drive

Well Done!! You're the first one I know off, owning a GLK. Keep us posted on your experiences. It is not available in South Africa as yet. I believe launching is expected sometime in 2010.

Enjoy your new toy! Did you keep the G500?

RE: GLK Drive

Still have the G500 too. Parked side by side out my window just waiting on the snow.

Re: GLK Drive

Taking the GLK in for rear hatch latch issue on Monday. Will raise and then quickly shut when key is used to open.

Re: GLK Drive

Ed and others: Bought a 2013 250 Blue Tec last week. I was one previous owner and under 20,000. Very clean and totally nice. Good price. Mileage going home from Portland = 38.2 miles per gallon diesel. Wife drove part of the distance and has a foot made of lead. I would not be surprised if this car is capable of 40 MPG. Very sweet ride! (Hum, wonder what that four cylinder twin turbo engine would do in my 300GD long wheel base...?
