W460 Crossing America (PA to CA)

Hi Everyone!!

I am going to be traveling from Pennsylvania to California in the beginning of December 2016.

Its just me traveling in my 1989 W460.224 280GE I have had since 2007 and brought over from Dubai. Its a long story!

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on extra parts to bring, good places to go for parts on the way, good routes, good camping sites, places to stay for free, travel tips, really any information would be helpful!

Take the southern most route. The southwest is perfect in the winter.

Just let us know which route you plan on and when you are going to start the drive and we'll make plans from there...

I am hoping to leave between the 12/6 - 12/9 and will be taking the southern route (70 to 40) from Bedford, PA to Irvine, CA.

G'Day Nazen, great looking truck is that a factory cab chassis or cut down 5 door wagon.

Not seen it on the roads in Dubai.
