This condition was very intermittent and has happened maybe 4 times. Recently had my car serviced and asked them to check it out, it did not do it while they had it so no action was taken. Picked my car up, drove about 150 miles without issue, and suddenly it did it on the highway at speed, I pulled over, shifted the TC into H and continued driving. This happened 3 more times and the car is now back at the shop. Concern is the TC might need to be replaced if that is something that cannot be fixed. I searched the forum and the only similar situation I could find was someone who had a spare TC and swapped it out until they we could diagnose further. That is not the case for me unfortunately! I checked with MB and it seems the TC is NLA as a new part. I checked with Europa and they say there is no fix as individual components are not available and what they do is source a newer MBUSA TC and swap those guts into my cars existing TC. Any comments or thoughts on this situation would be greatly appreciated. Antonio

That said, the TC should not pop out of gear. Puch does rebuild them at the S-Tec workshop. Here is the link. https://www.s-tec.at/?LNG=en https://www.puch.at/19783_91299_shop_TRANSFER-CASE-REMAN-VG150-E.asp... It is not cheap, but I do not know of another shop that rebuilds the TC. A used one is a better option, but they are rare. There is a guy parting out some 1990s 463 in England, but the TC gearing is not the same. https://clubgwagen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=24779

I ended up ordering a new transfer case from the S Tech link provided by @Otiswesty and after 9 weeks and it arriving in the US, Fed Ex promptly lost it. So I had to order another one. The Second TC arrived and I had it installed at RennTech in Stuart FL as the truck was there for several other items that needed attention. All is fixed including my alarm issue that was mentioned on a different thread. New TC is working great. Thank you!!
