G500 - Rear Door / Trunk / Boot Waterproof membrane

I am trying to locate a water leak at the rear of my G500

After taking off the rear door interior trim / card today, there seems to be no waterproof barrier / membrane

Is that correct or has someone removed it?

That is correct as there is no roll down window you would not need it.

Thanks for confirming @Inkblotz - I found water inside the rear door and I thought that was causing damp in the cabin.

After lifting the front carpets I have found the real location of the damp...!

RE: G500 - Rear Door / Trunk / Boot Waterproof membrane

I had some water getting in around my cargo door. I readjusted it a few times at the hinges trying to improve the closure to no avail. Eventually I replaced the seal with a new one from the dealer and no more water ingress. Maybe that could be your issue as well. The front floor water is a whole different can of worms.
