Have to reach in from back or other side to open from inside . Before I pull the inside door panel to access the locking mechanism, I thought I would ask if anyone has experienced this and what the solution is. Replace the door handles, if they can be purchased from MB? Replace the door lock? Are there any interior springs that allow the button to push in? Anything to clean, grease, etc? Thanks in advance. Looks like this is done by removing the interior door panel to reveal the two screws. Any updates on this?

Removed interior door panel, remove door skin on left side. Remove one Phillips head screw on inside of door jamb above latching mechanism. Remove one screw on inside of door that holds handle in place. Mine was rusted and would not break loose, so took a chisel and hammer and taped it until it slid out of bracket holding iit. With the handle off, you will see a plunger with a screw on the end, this screw pushes the opening latch inside the door, when you press the door handle button. I adjusted this screw ot a few turns to lengthen it, oiled everything both in the handle and insie the door and latching mechanisms. Then reassembled. Works great again. I will see if MB still sells the handles and buy a new one due to the rusted screw. The screw won’t come out, it just turns inside the brass nut that is molded into the handle (stripped). Just wanted to update. Thanks
