I retired INATANK and replaced it with this one... I think it fits the G class better.

Re: New Tag

not now you dont, they passesd new laws starting on the 1st that are crazy hight. and they are only doing to people that live here. These are the additional fines on top of courcost and the price of the ticket..

Here is the link if your real board.

http://www.courts.state.va.us/publications/hb_3202.pdf

(July 1) - Virginia is for lovers, or so the state slogan has declared since 1969. Starting today, Virginia also will be the home of the $3,000 traffic ticket. In an effort to raise money for road projects, the state will start hitting residents who commit serious traffic offenses with huge civil penalties.
Beginning Sunday, Virginia is adding new civil charges to traffic fines. They range from $750 to $3,000 and will be added to existing fines and court costs. The civil penalty for going 20 mph over the speed limit will be $1,050, plus $61 in court costs and a fine that is typically about $200.

here is a few,

DRIVE SUSPENDED BEFORE PROOF FINANCIAL RESPONS $250 Misdemeanor 1/2

OPERATE IMPROPER BRAKES - MISDEMEANOR $350 Misdemeanor 1

PASS AT RR CROSSING-FELONY $1,000 Felony 6

FAIL TO GIVE PROPER SIGNAL - FELONY $1,000 Felony 6

DRIVE TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS - FELONY $1,000 Felony 6

SPEEDING EXCESS OF 80 MPH - FELONY $1,000 Felony 6

SPEED 20/MORE ABOVE SPEED LIMIT - FELONY $1,000 Felony 6

FAIL STOP SCENE ACCIDENT - FELONY $1,000 Felony 5

OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE WITH BELOW-STANDARD TIRES $300 Misdemeanor

Re: New Tag

do i read that correctly that a turn signal violation will be 1000 dollars? Holy smokes, if you're poor it'll only take a few tickets before you're an indentured servant!

Yep thats $1,000 on top of the regular ticker, & courtcost.

Some the fines i think they should have, like the DUI fines... but they are the same price as the other stuff.... Got to love va... Also you got to feel the love that they are only going to do this to people that live in va.

Great plate. I'm not usually a fan of custom plates but I'd roll w/ 4X4 ICON on my G.

Re: New Tag

Holy smokes - that's even worse than the fines here in Norway... (Which are very high, because the government found out they needed to flesh out the income on the budget a little...)

Finland takes the top price for high fines, though - they're income based, so if you earn a lot, you get a really hefty fine. I think the highest fine up to now is $103.000..
