It's like why a lot of people got banned at BW for. "Poaching" for other forums as the BW admin calls it.

Wooly:

I'm surprised at the level of censorship at this site. Pointed Three was introduced
as an alternative to administrative oppression. Given the languishing state of
Pointed Three's R171 forum and the inexplicable absence of its moderator, I
don't understand how they can afford to be draconian. Seems like hammering
one's own nails in the coffin.

RE: editorialism??

My sentiments exactly. I joined the SLK only forum but frankly the one model
forum is a bit too narrow for people with interests in more than one chassis type.

I recently started to review the forum at www.mbca.org. It's not great but there
is no bickering at that site. The Technical Help thread seems pretty decent.

The main reason I joined MBCA is to take advantage of future promotions
like the 50th anniversary discount. Unforunately you needed to be a member
by 31-dec-2005 in order to qualify for the current $2K or so discount.

Over Sensitivity

As the assistant administrator of this site, I see nothing wrong with mentioning other forums here. Just don't make it a repeated echo over and over again.

This is not BW and we have no reason to be overly defensive!

I agree with you DUTCH.

But it seems like woolly has been doing alot of echoing lately. It's getting to the point where his echoes are harassing .

Here here, I think Wooly should keep hsi northern mouth shut. Ianx did the same campaigning about another forum whislt he was the mod on the benzworld site, hes a mouthy so and so as well.

Get Wooly kicked and hopefully Ianx has hit his self destruct button anyway

...just wondered when you'd pipe up ... btw it's actually an Argentinian mouth (from Alta Gracia, Cordoba prv), not 'Northern' - just don't assume you know everything.

It appears that it does not matter what site you are on Ripple (or is that Topb_bastd) can abuse you on all of them, but there again this man has a reputation to keep up.

BenzDieselTuner - 7/27/2006 4:12 PM forums are for the free exchange of info, imho.....

If forums are for FREE Exchange of info. Then why at the mention of other sites get that post deleted or the user banned?

Most sites seem to be competing for advertising dollars. That is why I started the slkworld, and I have not blocked or banned any body for speaking of other sites or posting links to other forums. I have banned a few spamers posting viag and other sht. All I ask is keep the links non commercial even in the sigs.

So if your statement is true then WHY ARE Threads Deleted? or Users attacked for spaming or poaching, There is no $$ gain for them. these are all reasons people abandon forums

I also like that site not very active but good solid content. they also hevely sensor and delete post. I also run the web for my local MBCA section, and posting a link to that site got deleted within 1hr, I'm working with the main MBCA office about that. http://www.roadstarclub.com/ is the site but it is still under construction.

The one model forum is a bit too narrow for people, but it was meant to be that way
