Guys,
how about using a Kryptonite motorcycle disk lock in place of the pad lock. The hole may have to be drilled out so the lock can fit thorugh, but it's another option to consider :-)

| Spare tire storage
So who's going to start making this spare-tire storage locker? I don't have the skills or time, but I'd buy one. Smude makes one but it is expensive and sticks out a bit making it hard to hide under the tire cover.
