Removing sidemarkers from the mirrors...

Removing sidemarkers from the mirrors...

Does anyone know how to remove the sidemarkers from the mirrors on the 02+ ML55? I want to send them out to get tinted.

Hi Dan--

Funny you should bring this up as the post below by AndrewAZ has a link to removal of the side mirrors. a WIY by P. Leubner. The clear LED "screen" is attached to the entire outside shell cover. Remove that cover and disconnect the wires and you can paint away!

Dan get a flat head screw driver and a towel and wrap the screew driver... Slide the screw driver from the door side and pop the side marker out. I have had to do this recently to replace on that had water in it.

Better yet, invest in a set of plastic wedge trim tools.
