That's the story I got from MB of Huntsville. They claim that they'll finish out the 2008 model year , then they're switching the R-Class line over to the GLK production. The GLK's are being built in Germany, for now, but will be built at the Alabama plant for the model year 2010 and up. | ||

It really makes more sense to produce the GLK on a C-class production line, since the GLK is C-class based. The R, ML, and GL are all based on similar if not same components. | ||
