The wiper stalk does not switch down to the intermittent position, it only goes down momentarily, which feels OK, it does not feel broken. The wipers do not work when I do this. I do not know if there are rain sensors on the car or if the wipe should be intermittent, is the stalk supposed to switch down, or is momentary switching correct? Thanks.

Hi I am not sure if your model is the same as mine (ML320 2002 UK RHD) but on mine the first position down from 0 turns on intermittent wipers, the other 2 "up" positions from 0 are regular and high speed.
