What is it?

Hi Guy's, my car is the ML 270 cdi 2003, when you open the bonnet and look at the radiator, then look down to the bottom there is another radiator that sit's in front of it with 2 pipes coming off and it's this rad that I am trying to find out what it's called as looking at it the fins are all coming adrift and bowing out so looks like I need a new one, problem is until I actually know what I am looking for I am a bit stumped !! can anybody throw some light on it please and if you have any ideas where I might get a new one (once I know what it is lol)

Thank you for your help

John

RE: What is it?

I would assume that this is the AC condenser.  Large surface area, pretty thin?

Re: What is it?

Could be the auto box (fluid) cooler radiator.

RE: What is it?

UPDATE.

Ok guys thank you for your help, it is in fact the Auto box cooler so now at least I know what to order.

Must admit I am quiet surprised that all the cooling fins on it have come away, they just seemed to be stuck on and made of plastic! if they are then Mercedes sure made a bad job of that.
