Driver Window Switch Failing Again (revised part)

Apparently the revised window switch pack is still NOT fixed since the window switch is beginning to fail AGAIN. Seems like they are lasting about 3 years each for me. What the heck did they revise? That said, the window switch now lists for 3 times the price it used to be, I guess that's what was revised.

I'd be interested to know if that fix will work on the revised part.  After mine was replaced, I looked at it and it didn’t look like it could be disassembled the same way as the original part.  Maybe the problem isn’t in the switch but in the regulator motor?  You could also try removing the switch assembly and soaking it with some contact cleaner if you can’t get into it like the old one.  Worst case scenario, just buy a new unit – it’s less than $100.

I bought a new part already. Can't be bothered to fix it since I know it will fail again. I figure, it's about 5 minutes to swap out versus who knows how long to fix if it's even possible.

Got the part for about $93 including shipping from Duval motors

It is definitely the switch though as it all works perfectly again. I hope they changed parts suppliers for the 164 or at least reassigned the engineers that approved this design.
