Instrument panel removal on ML270 cdi 2003

Hi Guys, new boy here so sorry if I am in the wrong section? I have done searches but have failed to find anything on how to remove the Instrument panel so I can change the bulbs that have blown, at the moment I can only see a bit of the rev counter and the rest of the instruments are in darkness at night, can anybody point me in the right direction please either with instructions or the address of the pages on site that I can find please.

I don't have an ML, however most MBs clusters are friction fit.  To pull it out you need some "mercedes dash hooks" (google that).  You can easily make your own with some coat-hanger wire.

Thank you for that AlanMcR, but I found the problem without even doing anything !! I drove over a 'pot hole' in the road and they all come back working again :-) must be a bit of corrosion on the contacts or something? but at least I have the instrument lights back now.

Alan, the W163 cluster is screwed in. The make-your-own dash hooks won't work.
