I'd like to share the pictures of my new rear bumper. It doesn't look beautiful but is made to take abuse. I've been looking for a strong rear bumper that does not easily break. I've thought about buying 460's steel two piece bumper but decided not to go for it because I can not use parktronic. So, I looked around: ORC's tube bumper>>> appearance is not my taste and shipping is too expensive ewalberg's rear bumper>>> looks very good with parktronic holes. seems very expensive and also need to be shipped from US Custom bumper>>> well, no choice to me Here are new bumper's photos. Very simple design but does hold parktronic sensor in almost stock location. Matterial is widely available C shaped(Like Frame) steel that are commonly used for construction. 3mm to 4mm thickness. Brakets are fabricated with 6mm thisk steel. Fedex just told me that I'll receive ORC's gas tank protection today that I ordered last month. I'll share the pictures and let you know how it is later. Is it going to be strong enough? Nothing is ever strong enough, but 3-4mm u-profile will take more beating that I suspect even this truck to receive. I have similar setting but I used normal fully closed profile made from 4mm thick material. I used the original mounts (weak) welded to the bar. It has given me zero problems and I do abuse it as much as possible. -UG- Edited by -UG- 8/1/2006 3:23 AM

When the steel plate is welded on the bottom side of the bumper, the main part curved slightly. You can see the steel plate on the third picture, right above the bumper. This is about 4mm thick and meant to reinforce the bumper from impact from behind. UG, I hope this is strong enough for my use. I'll test this soon!! I didn't use stock bracket because I wanted to place the bumper little higher than stock location. Yasu
