Anybody know where I can get auxiliary tanks for my Sprinter? It's a 2006 290CDI (Dodge 3500) with the dually 1T axles. All my searches have ended in vain and I really would like to squeeze more than 370 miles between fill ups. It looks like there's lots of room between the chassis rails. Any ideas or suggestions please.

Answering my own question... I joined the yahoo sprintervan group and found a link to a french company: http://www.acgb.fr/english/showroom.htm Use the pull down to view the replacement tank they offer for sprinters, looks cool huh? Now if they would just answer my e-mail... Maybe if everyone who looks at this sent them a message asking for a tank, they'd ship a few to the states!

Try: http://www.acgb.fr looks pricey, especially with the weak dollar. Maybe a local outfit could fab up a baffled tank. I have seen some links on the Vanagon sites for generic marine and RV tanks that can be added between the chassis rails. Or maybe it was a P3 Gwagen topic? I'll search around. Here's one: http://www.boydwelding.com/?gclid=CNGT2K-Ego8CFRZHXgodIVwzwg Bernd makes a Vanagon spare that could work well on a Sprinter: http://www.syncro-bernd-jaeger.de/ENGLISH/Spezialitaten/spezialitat... Or a sand rail tank (not as good): http://www.hotrodsusa.com/store/tanks.html A Sprinter maybe in my future for a new business venture Edited by otiswesty 4/16/2008 8:07 PM
