460 jump seats I have for sale

Since a couple people asked after these, I thought I'd just post a couple pix here.  I can't say whether they fit 463 or not.  The seat is 31" long at it's widest point and the farthest spread of the outermost mounting bolts is 26-3/4".  If you remove your interior trim panel you should be able to tell if mounting holes are there in correct locations.

Pic 1 - Bottom of the seats.  General wear from 20+ years of use.  A little surface rust, but nothing a can of Krylon wouldn't fix.  The rubber straps are dried with age, but still work fine (for now!)  On one seat the rubber straps have stained the vinyl and left impressions in the foam from being stored closed up for ever.  I tried some McGuiar's vinyl and rubber cleaner and it didn't touch that stain.

Pic 2 - Opened up.  The most notable thing in this picture is the fading of the tan stripes in the cloth in areas that were exposed to sun (outer edge of bottom cushion).  That's not a trick of the photo, it's a good representation of what it actually looks like.  Both seats are like that.

Pic 3 - The seat that doesn't have the black stains from the rubber straps has a small tear in the vinyl as shown here.  This is the only evidence of tear or fray that I found in my cursory look.  These seats are actually in better shape than I thought they were when I put the $200 price tag on them.  I think they're worth all of that and with another couple hundred in upholstery and paint, they culd be made like new.

Pic 4 - These are the trim pieces that need to be let in to the side panels of the loadspace to fit the seats.  I have 3, you need 6 total.  I also have all, or nearly all, the mounting bolts.  I didn't count them and I think some were missing hen I pulled the seats from the parts truck a couple years ago.

Like I said, $200 plus shipping takes the lot.

Re: 460 jump seats I have for sale

Thanks for posting Dave. In your opinion, is the cushioning still good? and the funny question - Do the seats have any weird odors?

Thanks.

Stink is in the nose of the beholder, but no, I don't detect anything unusual.  And the cushioning seems great.  Very firm and not "decomposing" as far as I can tell.  And if you wanted something different, they're just flat rectangular pieces anyway, falling off a log for an upholsterer to replace......heck, with the new parts cost Vlad posted, I'm starting to think I shoud refurbish these myself and put them on E-bay!

:)

Dave:

With the cost of new for a 463, I have been considering the after market fabricated jump seat business ... 10 years ago when I had access to a metal, I would have done them in a heart beat ...

Re: 460 jump seats I have for sale

Do these look like the mounting poits in a 463 LWB?

Re: 460 jump seats I have for sale

I can't say.  At least some of those holes toward the front are going to be for the seat back latch for the rear bench seat.  That being said, it seems that jump seat mounting would be too close to the seat back latch if they were part of the same "cluster" of holes up near the front.

At the vary least I'm thinking some kind of "adapter plate" would need to be made to mount to the 463 holes and provide tapped holes or studs to mount the 460 seats.  But that's just a guess.

Re: 460 jump seats I have for sale

From the relative location of the forward group of 4 studs to the rear wheel hump it would not be possible for the rear bench seat latch to be that far back. The back of my rear seat goes up the front of the rear wheel hump ... Still, the only way to tell is to pull out my rear panels ...
