da_nailgun Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Tyre size help for new 19in wheels hey fellow pointedthree members. I need some advice on tyre sizes for my new 19 inch wheels (which MIGHT be coming one day from DCR Wheels). At the moment i have the standard 17 inch wheels on my SLK, 17x7.5 at the front and 18x8.5 on the back with 245/40 on the back and 225/45's on the front. So.. my question is.. when i get my 19inch wheels which will be 19x8 on the front and 19x9 on the back, what tyres would I need to get? thankx guys and gals.

Michelins PS2's are great performance tires, Nitto and Toyo's are also tires you should consider and alot less expensive.

I thought so too, not only that but the possibility of ruining the wheels but it's not that bad, a little nosier than before but that's b/c I have Nitto's NT555, the roads in Australia might be different, it's works fine for me here.

AnthRam Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Tyre size help for new 19in wheels Hi Da_nailgun, I have 235/35 front and 255/30 on the rear of my slk55. I was worried about the ride also, yet I find it quite ok, however I never drove my car with the standard wheels, I had my 19's fitted prior to pick-up. I drove my car from the Gold Coast to Sydney when I picked it up, and last weekend I went out to Dubbo, and I have not found it too hard. I have Pirelli PZero Nero's on mine. Hope this help... Anthony.

Anthony. thankx anthony, That makes me feel happier just to hear that. I have Pirelli PZero Nero's on my car at the moment (with the standard 17in wheels), so i guess i should stick with those when i get 19's (even tho they'll be about 600 $AUS each). Thankx Again.
