RE: Greetings from Hwy 1 Baja California

Karl and/or James might post some pictures tomorrow - we are just back from surviving the brutal harshness of the Baja peninsula
Susan and Patricia covered every move with their pro equipment
I did not have my camera with me, but believe me, it took three full grown G filled with dedicated adventurers to brave this hostile environment
I fell sick right the first day just looking at what was ahead - the others did remarkably well
now that I am back home (hot shower and warm bed included) I feel already much better
looking in the mirror it just dawned on me - I may have been exposed a bit too much to that nuclear chain reaction in the sky

RE: Greetings from Hwy 1 Baja California

Yeah, it was a tough few days......

we lost one of us almost to Strychnine, a deadly poison, but River did manage to pull through......just added another +900KM to the trip to pick her up at the wonderful vet in Mulege.

The crew got a bit smaller, as Patricia, Susan and Rick had to fly back to the US today. So the rest of us has to share the never ending supply of Pacifico, Camerones, Pescadores and Taco-Food

Pictures are plentiful, but we have to track back to La Paz before nightfall, so only a few right now........hang in there

RE: Greetings from Hwy 1 Baja California

Hi Everyone,

Karl's wife Patricia and I just flew back to Los Angeles on Sunday from our amazing visit to Baja. Harald found an amazing camping spot (as usual), and we all enjoyed 3 unforgettable days on the beach, miles from anyone.

Below are some more photos of our Baja trip:

The vet who saved River.

Vultures

Beautiful Baja beach lunch stop.

Karl and a recuperating River...

The perfect Baja beach camping spot.

3 G's at camp on the beach.

 Harald's morning coffee, camp style...

 No caption necessary.

Karl and James on the beach near camp.

Best regards,

Susan

Re: Greetings from Hwy 1 Baja California

sippy cup is cleaned and dried
but I figured today, by the time Abigail is coming back to La Paz, she might not want that thing any longer
I could donate it to a volunteer animal clinic where women with no life (aka mid life crisis) could nurse an infant squirrel back to life that has fallen of a tree (more likely cactus here), they would then blog about the donation from NM and you could become famous
shall I donate it?

Mexicali - admission into "paradise" is always time consuming, but you are greeted with smiles, inspiring music and cheers by the gate keepers
no, that does not sound right
I must have mixed up the paradises

pictures please!

did you do the enchanted valley?
Alfonsinas?
Coco?

come on - we are itching for news

RE: Greetings from Hwy 1 Baja California

Whose G500 is this (with the BFG A/T tires)? It looks great.

What wheels and what size tires are those?

Any info you can provide to me will be appreciated.
