Well I did it, I bought a 2000 463 on eBay last night. I'm nervous as hell having not seen it in person, but she looks and sounds like a beauty. I'm returniong from a long vacation so I will have no time to drive it home, and will be looking into shippers. If anyone in the NC area is lookigs to drive to N.M. let me know. I'll be sure to keep you all posted when I get her. -James (Screenshot_2.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Screenshot_2.jpg (132KB - 11 downloads)

Location of origin? Looks like they tinted it out... time for new tires, i'm sure it will also help you appreciate the 79 300gd, but rest assured you'll also enjoy that V8.

I was tired of passing over the ones that were either to many miles or too rusty and especially people who woulnd't budge for under 32k. So I felt 30k was fair for this one, mabey I could wait for slightly better deal, but come on life is short and this one has every detail I'm looking for. It has 70k miles, updated steering wheel/cluster, second owner, Europa legalized, pampered. It has a semi cheezy looking set of sub woofer boxes, cargo cover and it looks like someone had bought a rubber floor kit for a 460 and fitted it in over the carpet so the carpet is like new. If everyone could say a little kind word to the car gods for me, I'd appretiate it. Same outfit used by Europa so they actually know what a G is. Brad

Brad Brad, Does that ole' 280 stuff happen to have the original USDOT and USEPA release letters? The latest owner, Woody in Oregon, was asking me about them just before he bought it from Burquedoka. They were included in that bale of paperwork I gave you with the truck.

ewalberg Expert Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: Past: San Francisco. Present: Germany Vehicle(s): 2000 g500 Posts: 1887 | Re: I'm Back in the game!!!! No actually you have the rather rare 463 specific mats for the 1990-2000 model years. They're ugly and very expensive new, but they cover everything very well. Mine came with the cargo mat, and then i found the fronts and rears on ebay some time later for a good deal... probably bought the balance of the set my car should have come with! If they're fitting oddly, warm them up, then they flex much better and when the cool they'll sorta hold that shape. You definitely only live once and they wont be making any more of the 2000's so there you have it! it's not worth fretting over $2k in the grand scheme of things if you plan to keep the thing for a long while. Other than the mercedes symbols which are a bit much, you actually have the most tasteful "large" install in the back area i've ever seen. Usually it's all glitz and glam with clear plexiglass and ugly exposed for easy damage subwoofers. you could still through a toolbox in the back of that truck.

James gave me quite a bit of stuff, but you know with these historic vehicles, one can never have too much of the "history". My goal would be to compile all of it in one place (like my garage) once again!

When I bought my 1995 G320 it as well had the 463 specific mats for the 1990-2000 model years and it is a great addition. I am very happy for you and your family! Respectfully, James Van Thach
