Started off life as a 1980 280GE, living somewhere in Poland with it's original owner, who decided to put in the OM617... I don't know who did the swap, but they made a mess of the electrical system that after 5 months of ownership, I'm still fixing. The Polish "mountain man" who owned it moved to the US and brought the now-300GD Wagen with him to Seattle, Washington, where it was sold to a man named Jim. I purchased the truck from Jim after a test drive and some negotiations. First order of business has been to make it run like it should -- fixing leaks as they come up, flushing fluids and replacing the entirety of the Glow system. Now I"m on to electrical and body. Big aspirations -- restoration for now, and depending on California laws, OM606A / OM603 Injection Pump with Sprinter 6-speed will be in the distant future. I don't feel all that bad about customizing the driveline as it wasn't original as I bought it. Such a great truck! Edited by Suppatime 3/31/2013 12:01 AM

Nothing challenging at all. But I did visit some antenna site on a hill top. The area is accessible through a poorly maintained narrow road. Easy but fun. Will try to post some photos when I go there again during the daytime. H1LM002G55 - 4/27/2013 3:59 AM Beautiful!!!!! Do you ever make it up to The Peak?

E.g. red is not bad, but I didn't choose it bcos that one didn't have the towing hook. shochu - 4/30/2013 8:36 AM sweet ride.. i also think silver is the right color for the 461 pro Edited by gavinlock 5/1/2013 3:32 PM (DSCF1595_w.jpg) (DSCF1581_w.jpg) (DSCF1586_w.jpg) (DSCF1588_w.jpg) (DSCF1589_w.jpg) Attachments ---------------- DSCF1595_w.jpg (137KB - 31 downloads) DSCF1581_w.jpg (211KB - 28 downloads) DSCF1586_w.jpg (257KB - 25 downloads) DSCF1588_w.jpg (237KB - 33 downloads) DSCF1589_w.jpg (247KB - 26 downloads)

One of the few true Proffesional versions with the 2 rear seats, 2 rear doors and wood floor with cargo tie-down rails. Plus it has the rare reinforced walk-on bonnet. It is also 12v only, as opposed to 12v/24v that most others (referred to here as a "Military" version) with the single rear bench seat and single rear door have.
