Chris,

what went wrong? Judging by the attached D-ring you needed to be pulled out before.

RE: Picture Thread - Your Gs

Here are a few pics of my 1984 280GE. The first two are from the day I picked her up for the first time. She makes a fine addition to the stable, as long as the mogs don't pick on her.

Hi Harald,

I made the mistake of letting my boss drive. He chose the wrong line and we were immediately stuck. The truck landed on a shelf of mud and none of the wheels were touching the ground. It had rained heavily prior to us going out and the mud was terrible.Three Jeeps came to my rescue and all got stuck. We had to call a bulldozer to extricate us. It was a very bad scene. My engine hydrolocked but we were able to salvage it and it's running well. This should give you some idea of how bad it was:

Re: Picture Thread - Your Gs

Paul,

tell your sister that everyone on Hollywood owning a G has recently changed to orange turns signal lenses. So many 460 owners had switched to white lenses (big bisiness on ebay!) that they did not want to be confused with those old low dollar clunkers.

See trends in Hollywood are instant and overnight. First everyone sitting in a coffee shop making notes in a (movie)script had a cell phone - or was on a cell phone at the same time. Then the word got out, that if you are important, you have someone handling your calls. Cells phones disappeared overnight. Poor Schmock still showing a cell phone in the open - nobody will talk to him/her.

So again: white out - orange in!

What color lenses does my G500 have? Blue. I set trends - I am one day ahead.

This one is getting so long as to be unwieldy. I'm locking this one down. Please post any newer photos here:
