To all of you G-uys, have a great fun, Verena and I are very sorry that this year we are unable to attend the now famous "Oregon-Treffen", especially the great and warm hospitality of Dai and PK. We will be in thoughs with you all and if there is a little "Joke" at the camp fire, please raise a glass of that very special "Pinot"to our health!

Happy trails and missing you Guys! ..... and maybe next Year!

amzimmy

Will do M! You will be missed as well. I'll work on my accent for when I attempt to re-tell the man with the white hat, white shirt, white ball,......
Hello to lovely Verena.

"White-eh hat-eh, white-eh shirt-eh", Too funny! The campfire jokes will not be the same without you M!

Thanks Guys! I have a new "Repertoire" of jokes, that I will certainly keep in mind for our next visit. This last weekend we went "Bundu-Bashing" and had some great NEW stories/jokes around the camp fire. Verena says HI to all of you Guys and Girls. Next Year will make a plan .... for sure!
Have fun and happy trails!

RE: Announcement and Invite: G-Treffen 2010

Things to do at the at Philomath (Dai thinks it means "love of math") Heights.

Some of us will want to do a long hike, sit on the bumper and cook (Karl's speciality). As Harald notes, we are all eager to see what the Karlmeister will bring along in the way of neat gear - a spare roof rack perhaps??

RE: Announcement and Invite: G-Treffen 2010

Steve, Mike, Karl,

I have tried to register, however can not open the site. Password was not valid, so asked for new code to enter, and no response. So, I suspect the portal is kaput!

Please check. This might be why registration is low.

RE: Announcement and Invite: G-Treffen 2010

Tom and All,
There is no need to register on the treffin site. That is just for admin and modifying the site.
The only thing you need to do is go here:

http://www.clubgwagen.com/treffen/index.php?option=com_content&view...

Then print up the page and send it in with you payment. Simple as that.

Good luck.

Spock out.

Edit: I just put a note on the home page. Thanks Tom.

Tom,

just try to get some advances of your Taschengeld and we have another DIY story to post:

"DIY How to remove a perfectly good roof rack from one G-wagen to Tom's beautiful W460 using your own hand tools"

RE: Announcement and Invite: G-Treffen 2010

As expected, turn out is looking good. Sudden last minute surge has brought us up to guaranteed and paid participants similar to 2008. No doubt we'll have a few tardies.......who of course are welcome.

The head count for catering will be going in soon but don't let that stop you.

Looking forward to it!!

So, we have to share the Porta Potty with others - beside you and me?

I also need the absolute Bratwurst count prior to leaving the compound here.

After the last dead line - No soup for you!

Re: Announcement and Invite: G-Treffen 2010

RSVPs are recorded here...

http://www.clubgwagen.com/treffen/index.php?option=com_content&view...

currently 17 vehicles (3-non G)

and 37 people.

I have heard in emails from others who say they sent in their RSVP in the past couple of days, so I will update again once I get those, but for now they are not on this list.

Total group size will probably be about 45.

For those w/o G's at this time, do we still need to RSVP and pay?

Audi Allroad here, I'll be attending.

EricD and TonyC referred me.

Please RSVP and pay the due's it's part of the deal, we shall have a good time together with all the other friends - Audi or not

See you up there,

Eric MOST graciously offered it to me to bring down but I will only be able to stay on Sat for a few hours as I have Search&Rescue training up in Portland Sat night. TonyC is bringing the camo beast down.

Which leads me to....I drove EricD's awesome green TDi DoKa yesterday and fell in love with it's power to weight ratio (his OM617A GDT doesn't have the same torque I'm looking for--although it does have a stock IP). Is anyone coming to the GTG with a OM606A conversion? I've been told by Eric to check out Krash's 350GDT conversion but I assume it has a LOT more pep than an OM606A 3.0DT?

Thanks all!!
