RE: WIS - Workshop Information System

Hi,
I am trying to replace the light bulb of the heater control in the center console of a 1999 ML350. When I remove the middle knob of the AC/heater control, I can see the bulb but its housed inside a plastic frame which makes it impossible to reach the bulb.
Any help will be truly appreciated

Thanks,

Re: WIS - Workshop Information System

Use a piece of tygon tubing. Slip it over the bulb and pull it out. The new bulbs are all glass and are about 4.9mm diameter. The old bulbs have a platic base and are slightly smaller diameter. Tygon is very flexible, so get a tube that is about 4mm or 5/32" id. Hope this helps someone if not the original poster.

RE: WIS - Workshop Information System

dont worry about the throttle pedal removal, just learnt I had to unhook the throttle cable first to give enough movement to lift the pedal of the locating pins. Problem solved. As for rhd information, that's just to exotic for the NA market.

Re: WIS - Workshop Information System

Hi,

I have a MB ML430 AMG year 2001

I hava problem with my Automatic trasmission, sometimes it doesent change gear (stuck in 2-gear)

I get the faultcode:
RPM sensor in Aut. transmission fault
On my code reader.

I know its the sensor in the Automatic transmission thats the problem beacuse i reset the codes and the tranny works for a couple of days.
And probably its only requires a oli and filter change and a cleaning of the sensor.
But i need to get my hand on a PDF-file with DIY information about the tranny (were the sensor is located etc.)
Can anyone help me?
Please!

The MB-shop wants 650$ for the job, money i dont have....

Re: WIS - Workshop Information System

I have looked down the list of PDF's but haven't found one on retrofitting the spare wheel carrier. So the real question is "is there one" I have found a few on retro fitting the bush bar's front that is going to be helpful but nothing of that damned rear spare wheel carrier.

If someone has such a document I would really like to have a copy.. Ian PLEASE...Pretty PLEASE
