Rear seat floor trim removal

Hi, I'm new here. I have to remove the rear seats on my 02 ML320. I understand it is quite the operation to remove the plastic trim on the floor that surround the seats and covers the bolts. Does anyone have the process on how to do this?
Thanks!!!

I assume you are trying to change the fuel pump.

I did it this weekend and broke 2-3 clips until I realized how to remove them. You always pull the part away from it to release the clips. First pull it from back, second to the side and to the front. Good luck.

Actually, I'm replacing my original vinyl/cloth seats with a leather set. My front seats are all done. I just have to do the rear but I couldn't figure out how to get that palstic off!!???

So, how does this work? Let's say I'm working on the passenger side. I got a few of the clips lose from the rear but the front of the seat next to the floor mat won't budge.

The hooks of the clips are pointing inwards. See the underside of the cover you are asking. This was the first one I was working on and broke one clip. After I saw underside, others came out easier.
