| SE G-Treffen - Vance, AL Plant Tour , Off Road Test Track Ride & EuroTruck Open House
We have arranged a G-Treffen Vance, AL Factory Tour, Off Road Test Track Ride and Lunch at the facility cafeteria on the morning of Friday, March 7, 2008. Vance is where the Mercedes-Benz GL, ML and R Classes are assembled. The website for the factory is here:

The tour is limited to a maximum of 20 people. So, reservations are
available on a first come first served basis. Send me an email and a
refundable deposit of US$30.00 per person by PayPal (Not an eCheck, please) to my email
address: gwagen2000 at comcast dot net. This deposit is to assure that you
use the spot you reserve. If you are unable to attend and we are
able to replace you with someone from the waiting list, your deposit
will be returned less any PayPal Fee. When you do participate, your
deposit will be refunded less the PayPal Fee, the Tour Admission ($5.00) and
Lunch Cost ($7-9.00).
The tour has been arranged by our good friend Heinz Neunzig, who
will attend as a guest like us. Heinz was MB Marketing Manager for
the Gwagen in a large portion of the world; and he is now retired
and living in Tuscaloosa. He was also involved in the initial
startup of the Vance plant.
Exact times and specific details will follow later; but I will plan
to arrive in Tuscaloosa on Thursday evening, March 6th. After the
tours and lunch, we will head over to Atlanta for an Open House at
EuroTruck Importers on Saturday, March 8th.
MBUSI at Vance is handling our tour as a MB Club event. No cameras
will be allowed inside the manufacturing facility; and there is a

Since this is a G-Treffen, it is expected that you'll arrive in your
G; even though we won't have any off road opportunities for our G's.
Since this G-Treffen was announced a few days ago on the Treffen email list, it is already over half filled; so don't hesitate to get your deposit to me asap, if you wish to participate. |

We'll probably also make a visit to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame Museum and the Talladega Super Motorspeedway on Friday afternoon on our drive to Atlanta for EuroTruck's Open House on Saturday. |
