Any way to release seatbelt following rear end collision?

Hey guys, I know I rarely post here, spend most of my time in the G section, but this evening I was driving up to Sac to go duck hunting and was rear ended on the freeway in the ML. Luckily my brother Angelo took the G to Tahoe, so the easier car needs to get fixed. Problem is SRS light is stuck on and the seatbelt will not release and go back into place. It is stuck at the tensioned length. Is there any way to release it, the car is still driveable. The trailer hitch took the brunt of the aggression, not sure of any frame damage but car runs fine. Car is an '02 ML500.

Cheers!

Nevermind guys, just read through my owners manual, once the ETR has fired it must be replaced for the seatbelt to work properly again.

Also, when the seatbelt has been stretched once, it should be replaced. Once used, it will have considerably less strength than a new one.
