| ML dead ...PLEASE HELP...
close to my house all of a sudden engine stops and electricity in the cockpit is also gone.
Siutation: ML does not start anymore (no clicking no nohting)....
Symptoms:
Warning lights dont work aside SRS
ENGINE DOES NOT START
AC FAN does not work nor any indicator lights
wipers work
signals dont
BAtter is fine!
EVEN emergency lights dont work
instrument cluster is dead too (no needles moving) however illuminatin works!
RULED OUT:
FUSES are ok
battery is ok
NOTES:
upon opening the fuse box some of the relays where very hot (DEAD EBOX FAN?) how would i replace it?
i stronlgy susped and electric problem behind all this however all fused and releays seem fine? is there anything that would disable all those functions=?
it seems as if all the more complex electronic functions dont work...
ANY HELP or Ideas?`

There are more fuses to be found when you unscrew the cover behind the fuse box cover (where the Ebox fan is), see: http://www.whnet.com/4x4/shoptalk.html

...just pulled out the whole fuse assembly when i see the e lights flash all of a sudden...
everything works fine again. i susped a loose contact or somthing however with all wiggling i couldnt reproduce the failure. hmm this doesnt happen again while im on the road or worse during the night.
anyways i didnt hear anything whining or blowing while i had the ebox open so i would assume the FAN is dead?
anyone knows where i can get a new fan for cheap?

I bought my fan from Duval Motors. If I remember right, it was $65+shipping. |
