Viscous Fan wobbles and now a coolant leak, water pump? DIY Instructions?

I noticed a noise in my engine bay what sounds like plastic scrapping. I noticed when I opened the hood that the large main fan up front (viscous fan) was wobbling. Also noticed that it looks like there is a coolant leak coming from there- coolant drips are on the alternator, and other areas around it, and I now have a low coolant warning.

I have read some posts, and some thing it is the water pump. Wondering what others thought, as well as if there are any DIY instructions out there, along with locations to possibly buy a new pump, gasket, or whatever may be needed. I will be investigating further tomorrow, but I wanted to get a head start.

Thanks!!

That fan is held on with a massive nut about 1.25" if I recall. I have never seen one loosen up. That needs
to checked out. It needs prompt attention before it chews up the radiator.

How does the belt/pulley look? Is the harmonic balancer in good shape?

I agree you have leak, and it could be the pump, but it could also be a hose.

I had the same thing happen and it turned out to be the water pump. My leaking fluid was the pump lubrication. Had the truck towed to the dealer where all repairs were done under warranty.
