What dates would you prefer for the Factory Visit in Bremen

OK Since Monday is the quietest day at the plant for pickups, thats what we'll request.
We'll be looking for a complete tour of the R171 production line all the way from chassis construction to final assembly.

Many of you will have seen this before during the factory collection programme, and I'm sure you'll agree its well worth it.

Flights to Bremen from Luton via Easyjet are pretty cheap.
If you want to drive you have several options regarding ferries.
There the numerous cross-channel ferries from Dover of course, both into France and Holland.
There is also a service that goes from Harwich to Cuxhaven (very near to Bremen)
And for those living up north there are services from Hull and Newcastle to Holland.

There are stretches of unrestricted Autobahns along the route if you drive over the dutch border towards bremen.
However there is a secret MB test facility on the Dutch border with a fabuolus track. They have in the past let Torstens board in to have a track day. I'll find out possibilities and costs if there is enough interest.

Other attractions in Bremen include the Becks Brewery. I believe you can go on tours there as well ;-)

Re: What dates would you prefer for the Factory Visit in Bremen

Hi !

I´ve been living in Bremen for 3 years but I never made it to the factory not even to collect my car, so I´d be really looking forward to this event.
I might be able to get us a good discount at the Maritim Hotel in Bremen because the company I work for is booking quite a lot of rooms in this hotel.

Maritim Hotel : http://www.maritim.de/typo3/english/hotels/hotels/hotel-bremen.html

The Beck´s Brewery Tour is great fun, especially tasting all kinds of beer at the end of the tour. Becks : http://www.becks.com/com_start.asp

The test track Ianx is talking about is that secret at all. Have a further look here: http://inet.atppbg.de/index.php?lang=en

I´d be delighted to give you a personal tour through the City of Bremen.

Andy

I certainly am hoping that a few of our US friends will be able to fly over

I'm very much up for the track run as well - so you can count me in for that!!!

There's also some great shops in Bremen

Weekend of 22 July (inc Monday 24th) Is the only week I can make it. Flying to the UK for a wedding that week, so could fit it in. In UK n spain in may. Canada in june. japan/aussie in Sept.. Don't think my boss would appreciate another holiday. Why does work always get in the way of stuff?

I'm guessing from the Poll it would be the last weekend in August but would we be OK for getting a slot for touring the factory on that weekend (I know the Monday is a bank holiday in the UK and not sure if it is a holiday for Germany as well???)???

I also now have the slight problem of just having been offered a trip to Italy in August and am very, very tempted. But would mean that Bremen would be out
