M-Class WINS TUNISIA RALLYE

Just got the news via email from my buzz patroller.

There was a disqualification of the Nissan due to non approved restrictor (too large).

Noodles, agreed, and I just found out who the gents are to get the honors this time around.

Two MLs are entered:
218 MAZE SENCIER Antoine, CRESPO Christophe, SDO Competition, Mercedes T2
219 THOMASSE Pascal, LARROQUE Pascal, SDO Competition, Mercedes T2

Awsome Wolfgang, that is great stuff. Thank you.

I wonder how much a fully prepped T2 ML is costing? They do great work.

Noddles, they are quite pricey. The ORC built ML 350 EVO I shown in the following clip taken from German TV for example was $500,000.00.
I assume the racers in the production class from SDO Competition are a bit less than that.

full screen movie, around 20 MB:

Re: M-Class WINS TUNISIA RALLYE

I have built a few winning sports cars and I can tell you that the cost just gets sick.
In no time a production based SVT Cobra that sold for $30k will be into $75k quickly.
The used Roush SCCA Trans-AM series Cobra I was looking at was $250k to build
and $120k used with a spare engine and 4 sets of wheels.
The Rocketsports Jags were selling for $330k new to racers who could afford them.
My sponsor got very ill and I still sticking to clb racing in the T1 class and ITA class.
No way could I afford to run in a pro series without a sponsor.

It appears to me that the ORC Evo is a bargain at $500k. They seem to have a lot more
technology in them and a lot tougher chassis.

Thanks for keeping us all up to date on the MLs in competition.
