"LIM" on speedo?

Anyone know what the deal is about LIM on the lower part of an AMG speedo? I am thinking that it might be when the speed limiter kicks in, but I am not sure?

I wish we had the limiter on US cars, The only car that I can think of that had this was my dads porsche you could set it to beep after what ever speed you picked was reached saves you from a lot of tickets its so easy to creep over 100 mph in sports cars.
