Does anyone know if pre-facelift ('99-'01) 16" W163 rims on post-facelift W163?

As the topic title suggest, is it possible? Was there a change in brake rotor and/or caliper sizes on the later ML's?

Why the minus sizing? I recall The Rack selling the 16 inchers for later models as winter replacement. My guess is that it'll fit (AMG models I'm not so sure) since the offset has stayed same through the entire W163 build.

Yes,

it is quite a tight fit at the front brake caliper but I'm using the older 8 x 16" wheel on a 2003 ML320.

My reason, to get to most rubber between the hard ground and the mag wheel, for offroad use and/or able to air down nicely.

The tire I'm using/testing are Falken 265/75 16 AT's. They were highly recommended by some expert Jeep folks, the thread is not as coarse as the AT's

from BFG and the ML will probably stay more on the asphalt anyhow.
