just bought an 08 ML 320 cdi - dog barrier?

On Thursday I flew to Houston and closed the purchase of an 08 ML 320 cdi. The trip back to Atlanta was 14 hours - I wish I could have taken a few days to make the trip on 2 and 4 lane highways instead of the interstate!

I have 5 good sized dogs (Standard Poodles), so I got home and folded down the rear seats and put a cover in the rear area so the dogs won't get the carpet dirty. Once I got the pack o poodles in the back, I noticed that the headliner above the back of the seats when they are both up and down has holes in it to accept a fastener from a pet barrier. After a quick callto the local dealer I confirmed that it sells for $300. Has anyone tried the "official MB" pet barrier? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the money.... it's not cheap, but if the quality and utility is high then perhaps it's worth it. Thoughts?

I bought one and resold with a heavy loss as quick as possible since it doesn't work well.

I have a factory folding net barrier for behind the front seats I'd be willing to sell. Used once - perfect condition. PM me if interested.
