prbmeat Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | FS - Factory Roof Rack Bars/Running Boards 2002 G500 I have a factory Mercedes gutter mounted roof bar system. Great for roof Thule pod and/or ski/bike system. I have to be honest, I think these are the European version, ... but I am very unsure. What I do know is that the 2 years I have had them in use they have worked perfectly. I have the key for the lock and all the mounting hardware. I have upgraded to a more robust FrontRunner rack system. Also I have the stock Running Boards which I replaced with the Rockmeister sliders. Not sure how much in demand these are ... but they look expensive to replace if perhaps you have one damaged? Who knows. Here are some pictures .... feel free to hit me up if you have any questions or would like to see any additional pictures and talk price. Thanks! prbmeat Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: FS - Factory Roof Rack Bars/Running Boards 2002 G500 Just a friendly reminder that I still have the running boards. I have to say they are in good shape and polished up well. I captured all the hardware too ... plastic ends, bolts, screws, etc Note: They are fairly heavy (and obvioulsy long), and will cost a good chunk of $$ to ship ... so if you are on the west coast perhaps I can deliver if distance is reasonable. Anyone going to Oregon event perhaps interested? I am not looking to make a giant return on these ... just want to keep my garage streamlined since I do not have ton of room for storage. Thanks again. Edited by prbmeat 5/10/2011 2:09 PM

prbmeat Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: FS - Factory Roof Rack Bars/Running Boards 2002 G500 Sorry Scott ... they have been sold here locally. You may want to contact the gentlemen at clubgwagen.com (mike) and/or g-wagenacccesories (karl) ... they may have access to used (good condition) running boards. You may want to acquire a set of sliders just from a cost and longevity perspective. I went that route and they (the rock sliders) are very functional for every day use (I don't get my pants dirty getting in and out of my vehicle anymore!) as well as the the above and beyond protection you give your vehicle when off road. Super easy install and never have to worry about certain types of damage again ... Just an idea. Thanks for reaching out though ... Edited by prbmeat 6/30/2011 11:13 AM

I dont think I like the look of the sliders too much though I am thinking either original style or all black aftermarket ones but I dont want to aftermarket the whole thing so Im thinking ill just stick with the oems thanks again for your help
