WTB - 463 Heated Windshield

Need Heated Windshield for G 500. This is a 93 500GE, but I think any 463 windshield will work.

I can not get MB USA to give me a price or part info. Local dealer has been trying since 4/6/11.

I don't think MBUSA likes grey market vehicles.

Thanks,

AGuess

Alex,

I've got a quote a month ago from my MB dealer for a MBUSA G-500 heated windshield: 2K$

Do you want me to find out again?

Re: WTB - 463 Heated Windshield

I have seen both the new 463 with black behind mirror and older all clear heated windshailds on ebay.de recently. The prices were decent, but shipping to the US appropriateky packaged and insured was horrendous.

I would recommend trying an independent auto glass shop. We just had the glass replaced on our 2006 E320 and the guy got the glass from the dealer. I can gaurantee he will be persistent in getting you one to make the sale, than you otherwise may be. Price will probably be the same too with lower installation cost.

Re: WTB - 463 Heated Windshield

Thanks everyone. I have the correct part number from Mercedes in Germany, and have contacted another MB Dealer in my area in hopes that they can give me a price and get it for me. This is a heated, tinted windshield.

Mike, if I end up going regular glass, I will contact you, but I would like to put a heated one back in.

The problem in buying one in Germany is that if it breaks in transit, I have to wait for insurance on shipment to pay off or put out more money.

Insurance is paying for it, if I can only get it from Mercedes USA.

Thanks again.

Also consider that NC is not too far from Georgia, right?

Re: WTB - 463 Heated Windshield

Hi Everyone. Thanks for your help. I ordered one from my local dealer today. Heated, heat absorbing. cost $1,200.00. MB Germany was $ 715 euro, but they were afraid to ship.

Insurance will pay for everything except $200 deduct. So price is ok.

I will have it in 5 days.

Thanks again.
