When was your last 4 wheel alignment

She's riding a little stiff over bumps - road expansion joints have this distinct harsh bump.
Winter potholes have surely disturbed alignment.
Am thinking of getting a 4 wheel alignment done to remedy this....
(it worked last time)
It's been a little over a year for me...

OK I got it done.
Took lunch time to take the ML to the alignment specialist.
Armed with a 25% discount coupon it only cost me $75.

MUCH BETTER.

Tracks perfectly now, steering response is much better and absorbs bumps much better.
The fronts were 1/4" off in camber alone.
Rears were out of spec too.

Potholed streets and 2 winters were enough to throw it off.

I never had an alignment done on the ML.  Tires all wear even and it drives straight.

Roadsession, since your alignment was off did you notice any uneven tire wear?

You are lucky you have a shop that will do alignment I have lifetime tire rotation and balance but they wont do alignment on mercedes or bmw so far the only place I can find is the dealer.

Hi John,

The tires were slightly off, and the ML didn't wander, but it was an issue where if the alignment is off, (I believe especially if the Caster angle is off) it affects the angle with which the shocks/struts interact with the tire/wheel/road.

For me, correcting the alignment has always helped smoothen out steering response and removing the hard bounce that comes from driving over expansion joints - the shocks and struts just do a better job when aligned properly
