There are very very few in the US, I have yet to see one in Canada and we have a 15 yr rule instead of 25 so now the 1997's become eligible. I hav been looking into importing one from Germany and even then I have yet to find a lower mileage looked after one for reasonable cost, although the g350 are cheaper but for a reason. Best of luck but your best option may be an early w463 300ge or 320 and swap in an om606. |

Good option indeed about early W463 300GE, but even they are rare to find for a bargain or blown engine. |

There is a G320 for sale in Ohio that's looks to be in awesome shape, I was considering it for a diesel swap but I just don't have the time with my work schedule that sends me overseas 4-6 mths a year. They are asking 23k, if you are doing the swap yourself and not paying someone else to do it, depending on purchase price you could be all done at around $30k. I am looking at importing a G300DT which Incan because of the 15yr rule in Canada, for a good lower mileage one it would cost me roughly the same so I think reasonable if you really want a diesel G with good power, economy and comfort. I had found a 1991 300ge in Canada for a good price but it sold before I could go look, I believe the person who bought it is planning a swap as well.
