It is constructed of multiple layers of carbon fiber cloth and high quality epoxy. The door functions like the factory stamped steel part. The cover is paintable to match your G or leave it natural high gloss finish clear coat. PM me if you are interested. $125 plus shipping. Expect about three weeks for delivery. If your not happy with the fit or finish, I'll make it right. (cffront.jpg) (cfback.jpg) Attachments ---------------- cffront.jpg (251KB - 3 downloads) cfback.jpg (265KB - 2 downloads)

Necessity is the mother of invention. I'll put the the side mirror mounts on my list. Right now I'm working on the 18" spare tire cargo cover, followed by the 16" if there is interest, then I may tackle some G55 wide fender flares. I would also like to get rid of my heavy plywood rear area cargo platform for a light weight version. I can't forget my early 463 cup holder solution, I'm thinking of mounting based out of the ashtray slot next to the shifter.

Do you work in textiles? I have thought about using CF for inside door handles, I like the look. AGuess

I'm in the pointy side of aviation. I haven't thought about the door handles yet, mine are still going strong. I have thought about redoing the flimsy door pockets, though. Now you have me thinking about the pitifull door handles on my old FJ40.

There is enough depth in the indentations to fit small items(ie Touareg), vs leaving them as they are and just worthless. Perhaps a carbon fiber cover for us MBUSA G's that we could velcro or double side tape onto the rear door panels?

I sold a few fuel doors over a year ago and have a tire cover collecting dust in my shop that is almost finished. I'm just too busy with other commitments at the moment. I have been dreaming of a nice clean cargo area shelf that ties into the jump seat mounting locations recently. I will probably do the walk on hood in the future for me but liability issues have me hesitant to to start that project with intent to sell to others.
