As far as 18" rim options these are the best imho. 8.5" width is correct for 285 width tires instead of the 7.5" G500 or 9.5" current AMG rims. They have a nice solid aesthetic to them and must be also very easy to clean.

These are the AMG rim up to 2002, so would be correct for any 2002 model as well

I find it interesting that this USA manual shows the ET63 (ROW) Ashtaroth wheel, when the MBUSA G500's all come with the ET43.

These are so much nicer than the mid 2000s G55 ones... Will look for a set soon... that 19" offroad tire shortage is annoying...

They are currently available through the dealer.
I think there is also a used set on German ebay that has been for sale for almost a year at 1850 Euros.
I saw these listed on a current Mercedes website as a designated winter rim for the current G500/550 within the last year as well.

Btw. When I last looked at alloywheelsdirect and compared their prices to the Dubai dealer after discount, there wasn't much difference, so probably not worth getting them from the UK.

Shipping from the UK for a home Bang & Olufsen subwoofer was prohibitive, let alone four heavy rims!
